Mark Galeotti is one of the world’s leading specialists on Russian crime and security issues.
Based in London, he is a Senior Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute and an Honorary Professor at University College London’s School of Slavonic and East European Studies. He read history at Cambridge University and took his doctorate in politics from the LSE and has headed academic departments in the UK and USA, run the Centre for European Security at the Institute of International Relations Prague, been seconded to the British Foreign Office and taught in the UK, USA, Russia and Czech Republic.
A prolific author, his most recent works include ‘The Vory: Russia’s super mafia’ (Yale), ‘Russian Political War’ (Routledge) and ‘We Need To Talk About Putin’ (Ebury).
